Who Are the Top Well Drilling/Pump Installers in Southern California? (Reviews/Ratings)

Every year at Heritage Well Service we meet with well over a hundred households in the Southern California area with respect to their well drilling and pump installation needs. And because so many folks know our thoughts and feelings on all things related to wells from this website, they often ask us, "Who are some of the other contractors and competitors in the area?" Never one to shy away from being blatantly honest about the competition, here is a list of some of the companies that have a solid footing in the Southern California area:

LO Lynch Quality Wells and Pumps – LO Lynch specializes in well drilling projects of all sizes and large pump installation. They have been serving their community since 1945 hailing from San Jacinto and servicing all of Southern California.

Stehly Brother’s Drilling Inc.- Having been in business since 1994, Stehly Brothers specializes in air-hammer drilling in the San Diego area. The company also installs water well pumps and storage tank systems. 


Fain Drilling and Pump- A staple of the Northern San Diego County for over 50 years, Fain specializes in drilling wells of all sizes and design with a service division as well. 


Wicker Water Well– Offering both well pump installation and storage tank installation services, Wicker Water Well has been in the business since the early 2000’s and serves the local areas surrounding the Anza Valley.


HydroCurrrent Well Services- Hydrocurrent specializes in large diameter pumps, turbines and pumping stations. Started in 2018 by Ben and Kelly Fain they are akin to Fain Drilling and Pump, learning their skills in the long standing family business.


Finally, Ransom Pump - This pump company working out of Ramona has been in business since 1924 and is run by owner, Sommer Adams. They specialize in both residential and commercial pump installations.

 Often we are asked what will my new pump installation look like? Most of what gets installed in your newly drilled well is below the surface and you aren't able to see it but topside there are few things you should see. Here's a recent example of one of our new pump installations in a newly drilled well: First things first, your new well should have an outer casing liner coming out of the ground. The material of this casing is typically steel but we do see some companies who install a PVC conductor casing, check with your local county office for requirements for your area.
